A few notes on recreating the compleate bead from grave 557

It looks to me that this bead is made in 2 sections joined
together. The stitch overlap would indicate that the sections where
made from the "equator" of the pendant to the "poles", that is one from
the widest diameter part to the top, another from the widest diameter
part to the bottom, then these are joined together.  This
construction is beyond a one hour class but could be attempted once
you get comfortable with the techniques presented in class.
