The Flower or Handle
Wind off some wire (not silver, in this case 24 guage steel). Wrap around one time more than you want ribs (columns of stitches) on your pendant. 6, 7 and 8 are good numbers of ribs, so 7, 8 or 9 wraps. Then twist the ends together.
spread out the wire and pinch the loops together to make "the flower".
Fold the loops down. Try to make the petals end at about the same place but don't be too concerned if they don't.
Use a pen or a bead to shape the loops - the "Petals" of the flower.
Finaly, add a length (about a meter) of wire to start your pendant. Here copper is used for visual contrast to the flower. Wrap it once or twice around the flower to secure it and begin stitching.
